The site is finally in a place where I feel I can let it out into the world.

The building of JoeyPajamas (a nickname my wife gave me that I still find funny, six years later) has been very much a learning experiance. While I've worked on websites before they had all been built mostly using the aid of a site builder, thus I hardly had to touch HTML or CSS. This was my first time building one entierly from scratch.

As with most people on Neocities, I'm here trying to detangle at least a little from modern internet, especially social media. I've found over the last several years I've moved more and more away from social media as the enshitification sets in. While I do still have accounts on a few platforms, most I rarely use.

There's also the fact that there really isn't anywhere decent to share your collection on. There have been such places, a few that I used too, but they all closed down. Current places like Instagram or Facebook (bleh!) don't allow enough freedom to really curate a collection gallery, especially one of a large size. Hence this site.

While there are still things I've like to do/ change here I'm fairly happy with how it currently looks. I've started to add the first of the collection galleries so that will hopefully be live soon. I've also got a few ideas for shrines and other pages. I'll add a guest book at some point, too.

I hope you like what you see thus far, and continue to pop back from time to time to see how the site grows.
